Weddings
“As near to heaven as one can be in this world.”
The mansion at Glen Magna Farms sits on an estate of eleven acres, less than one mile from Routes 1 and 95. The Old Fashioned Garden is anchored by a reproduction of the original gazebo designed by Francis Peabody in 1840. Hold your ceremony in the garden or under the tent, then celebrate in the gardens under a sailcloth tent with clear side walls and bistro lighting.
Rental includes exclusive access to the grounds and, in the mansion, the first-floor foyer, drawing room, dining room, veranda and accessible restroom, plus three changing rooms and two restrooms upstairs.
2027 & 2028 Rental Rates
Rental pricing includes the seasonal tent. Based on a 9-hour rental: 3 hours of set-up, a 5-hour event and 1 hour of breakdown. Sunday–Thursday events end by 10pm; Friday & Saturday by 11pm. Saturday dates carry a 100-person minimum. A Danvers Historical Society “Family Level” membership is required to book. Prices subject to change without notice.

History
Glen Magna Farms survives unrivaled as an estate exemplifying historic North Shore summer living. During the War of 1812, Salem shipping merchant Joseph Peabody bought a twenty-acre Danvers property that grew to over three hundred and thirty acres, a family summer retreat for 144 years.
By 1892 it belonged to Ellen Peabody Endicott, who in 1893 hired Little, Browne and Moore to expand the mansion to its classic Colonial Revival form. In 1926 she received the Massachusetts Horticultural Society’s Hunnewell Gold Medal. Her son William Crowninshield Endicott, Jr. brought the Derby Summer House (built 1794, a National Historic Landmark since 1968) to the property in 1901.
In 1963 the Danvers Historical Society — founded in 1889 — purchased the central eleven acres and has worked to restore the gardens to their early 20th-century appearance.
